Dear Diary,

I am the luckiest girl in the world, Diary. My husband is handsome and successful and my children are smart and kind and I love them all to pieces! The world should explode from this much slobbery goodness

So, Diary, how come when they left this morning, the children for school and Hugh for work, I high fived the trash man, locked the door behind them and danced a jig with the dog?

The little darlings.

Love,

Kristin

the luckiest girl in the world gets away with all that, that's why

Because you realized a part of being lucky is that you don't have to spend the entire day with any of them anymore! And that's a good thing

Van - Crumb, secrets out.

Jill - You may have hit the nail on their cranky little heads.

Hmmm, I'm guessing that the handsome husband and perfect children didn't load the dishwasher this morning and left their dirty laundry on the floor.

Funny, I have those same moves some mornings! BYE-BYE!

Ha! Because even though you are lucky and love them to pieces -- you are human and love your free time almost as much as you love the little darlings ;-)

Enjoy your day ~

Because too much of a good thing is bad for you...And it's usually loud, messy, and needing something.

Ah the bliss of "alone time"

Jen - Or, he emptied the dishwasher whilst moaning, I seem to be the only one who does this around here...!

Anon - Bye Bye is right! Adios, suckahs!

Chrissie - A Target run and lunch with a girlfriend, it has indeed been lovely!

Catholic Runner - Could you hear them squabbling from here?!

Dear Kristin,

Because even in their wonderfulness, they are still needy little people and mens who can't pick up their own socks or replace the toilet paper roll. So while you may super puffy heart them, a girl needs her alones time.

Signed,
You Diary

It just takes a bit of alone time to really REALLY appreciate the beauty of it all :)

Every mom/wife has those mornings, sometimes 5 days a week!

I feel the same way. Those moments make me a much happier mommy when they return for the afternoon fun :)
