Tired of looking at the same post for days... me too!
Oh Internet, we're so simpatico.
It's been an interesting few days around these parts as the menfolk are off on a weekend of waterskiing and wakeboarding and general tomfoolery and Eva and I have been doing our thing which translates into donughts and Princess movies.
When Hugh is gone, I luxuriate in that first night of hogging all the pillows and falling asleep to HGTV... I usually roll around clutching at the duvet calling, "Mine! Mine! It's all MINE!"
I don't do laundry or cook and it's a delight to not have to nag at my children about homework or squablling. However, I am a weak woman and by the second night the fun is over and I end up sharing the bed with my daughter and the dogs...
And I miss him. And I miss my boys. And ENOUGH WITH THE MALE BONDING already, come home so I can do your laundry and nag you.
Oh life, you are such a trickster of contradictions! Shall I complain about the Cinderella-ness of my existence or should I hum the theme from "Breakfast at Tiffany's"?
Now, I have a question... if you had a courtyard which was painted a rather neutral shade known as "Golden Retriever" and in this courtyard you had teak furniture with terra cotta cushions, and 2 planters a lovely deep maroon in color... but you needed one more planter and the one you are going to use is a fugly grayish color... what color would you spray paint it?
Black or a dark rust?
And I thank you in advance for your impeccable taste.

Black. I have heard that you should have at least one black thing in every room of your house, and I'm going to assume that includes outdoor "rooms" too.
Jill - Ok, that's a pretty good argument for black...
I think black also, it will blend nicely with all your neutrals.
I know the feeling, my boys were off hunting and we are princessed out here now! But the first night is like a little slice of heaven with the pillows to myself :)
Black. I thought black before I even saw the options.
Black, absolutely... Kristin Golightly.
Dark Olive Green. I meant black.
Black -- it will provide contrast to the other colors.
I'll give a shout out for cobalt blue, but in the alternative I vote for black.
I'd spray paint it cobalt.
Take that!
(or black, if you must)
Oh, dark olive green and cobalt sound so pretty... I didn't even think round to those colors.
Internet, next time I consult with you first.
I've gone with the black and so far (1 coat in) it looks great, however, I also need 3 pots for the front yard, so this may end up there...
Black.
I wasn't going to say black. Was going to go with the rust!
What the hell do I know though....
Sicky!
xxxx
I had table cloth thoughts by the way...
Remind me to mention...
My vote was and is for black - until I saw the olive green suggestion. I was actually thinking, as I read the post but struggled with the picture in my mind (I need pictures, darn it) that a sage green may be a nice color to contrast the rest of the ensemble.
SAGE GREEN!
I am by no means good with colors, but I would probably go with rust ... so you should take the opposite.
