The Top Ten Reasons I Haven't Been Posting...

10. Too many repeated viewings of Talladega Nights.

9. Too busy weeping over fucked up Mamarazzi server. (help) Mamarazzi is up and running! Now, get yourself over there to see the best post title I have ever come up with (you all know I only post on Tuesday right? And that you need to go and comment because it makes me feel warm and fuzzy and then I think lovely things about you and send you all sorts of good internet karma... you know this, right?).

8. Too much biology in the household... stomach flu, croup, sinusitis

7. Potty training Eva. See #8

6. Nervously preparing for Lasik...

5. Busy reading many good blogs... no time to manage my own.

4. Walking 4 dogs takes away much free time.

3. Low carb diet putting me in foul humor...

2. Busy rescheduling ski week trip as reservations mistakenly made for wrong week.

and the number one reason I haven't been able to post?

1. Wondering just who exactly are the 23% of Americans who still approve of George Bush?

Just to let you know, #1 is NOT me.

You are actively missed, but you know, bloglines will let me know when you're ready...

Well, you ca count me OUT OF THAT 23%!

Lasik? For real? You need to tell me about it. I want to, but I'm uber-nervous.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, not part of that 23% either. We saw Talladega Nights recently. I'm impressed that you can watch it more than once. Any diet would put me in a foul humor too.

Giggle.

Just attach the little dog to one of the bigger dogs and let them walk themselves around the yard. That should free up a little time.

I am proud to represent the other 77% of the country ... and sorry to hear about too much biology in the house ... ick.

Dear sweet baby Jesus, tiny little baby Jesus, who knows no words but is still so very omnipotent, please help Eva get on the potty on time.

Amen.

Good luck with the potty training!

I'm thinking about doing Lasik as well ... been thinking about it for like 5 years now ... someday.

Kristin said...

It has taken me years to come to the decision that I want Lasik... YEARS!!

The beauty of this list is I can be lazy and just link to your post instead of writing my own. That's doubly lazy!

Just for the record #1 is not me!!

One time I made reservations for flights to the wrong airport! I didn't figure it out until we tried to board the plane!!! Wonder what my problem was that week!!!

Good luck with the potty training!

Your number one is pretty good. Maybe it's the same 23% tuning into his State of the Union where he will lie to us some more about how much he cares about the military putting their lives on the line.

Lasik eh? I can't wait to get your feedback on this.

Lisa said...

Oh I hope everyone is feeling better now! That is TOUGH when you've got sick kids. And walking four dogs? That will get you in great shape for that ski trip.

And best of luck on the potty training.

Stepping Over the Junk said...

who thought this blogging thing would be SO HARD? Ha. I feel the same way sometimes. If only the sickness would go away in my house, I would do a whole lot better!

crazymumma said...

What is with that 23% anyway. we wonder up here in Canada....

Hope you all feel better soon and good luck with the potty training.

Masked Mom said...

The 23% are probably those in industries that benefit directly from his continued stupidity. (Defense contractors, etc)Because I don't know who the hell else it could be.

Good luck with all the rest of it, though.

Becky at lifeoutoffocus said...

join the club. blogging is not priority number 1 in my day at work anymore. sad but true. good luck with the potty training!

Potty training and living with that President should all go hand and hand...
Now, I am off to Mamarazzi spreading da love there as well...

I am soo with you on #1. Must be the 23% of idiots in this country!!!!

Anonymous said...

I had Lasik. It's no big deal and you will be so happy and wonder why you waited so long!

Pollyanna said...

HEEHEHE. Funny list. I don't think I could even think of a top 10 list, so you're ahead of me. I have missing Mammarrzi so much, I hope there really is a post up there now! Don't bring my hopes up like that if you are not going to show me the money girlie!

"Dear sweet baby Jesus, tiny little baby Jesus, who knows no words but is still so very omnipotent, please help Eva get on the potty on time.

Amen."
OHMYGAWD. This comment about made me wet my pants, that what the funniest part of that whole movie, when he'd pray to baby Jesus. HAHAHAHA.

Gooooooooooooooooooooooooo Eva!

*throws pompoms in the air*

10. hysterical movie - the meal-time prayer scene made me pee my pants

9. karma shmarma (oh wait, does that mean i'm going to be a beetle in my next life?)

6. my husband LOVES his

4. doesn't walking FOUR dogs pretty much mean

5. you can eat whatever you want?

1. I might be related to a few (sorry) although I'm afraid to ask them ...

carrie said...

In response to #1, I think they pay those people...

Hope your week calms down, get those boys to walk the dogs and sit down for a glass of wine. Try not to stress about the lasik, everyone I know who has had it (including my Grandma at 85yrs.) says it is a breeze!

I have no potty training wisdom to pass on, I had it pretty easy.

Here's lookin' at you, kid...with 20/20, but good luck with the lasik!

Diarreah and potty training, isn't that an oxymoron, or would that be
an onomatopoopa ;)

The low glycemic dieting is enough to drain anyones energy to post on a blog. It takes about 90 days to fully adjust.

Cristina said...

Seriously, I was wondering about that last one too while watching his lame speech last night.

ms blue said...

Oh to wake up in the morning and be able to see the alarm clock. I might get another five minutes of rest. I'm desperate for Lasik.

Carbs are my best friend.

Those are good enough reasons not to post until summer. And don't count me into those 23%

That's more like the top ten list of things you're now going to have to ellaborate on over the course of the next few posts!!!
(and I really want to know what Lasik is like)

The Domesticator said...

Well no wonder, you are one busy chick! You had me at the Biology one...that would have been reason enough for me not to post!

:)

Kevin Charnas said...

LASIK???? OH MAN... Will and I were JUST talking about this, because eventually I may need it...I almost passed out just from talking about it.

AND 4 DOGS??? I didn't know that you guys had 4 dogs. We have 2, I want 4...right now. But, I want you to walk them...can we arrange that?

And #1? Sing it, sister...My parents are 2 of them.

Perstephone said...

You said it, sister, on #1!!! Christ, I just don't get it. Be republican, be conservative, fine. But to not be able to tell when someone is royally screwing up the country? Obviously these people must be in comas or living under rocks.

Perstephone said...

Um, or Kevin's parents. Sorry, Kev.

Nervously preparing for Lasik...

While I haven't had this done myself, I know many who have. It's totally routine these days. And done within 15 minutes is what I remember.

Don't worry. I know that's easier said than done. :)

Anonymous said...

I'm glad to see I'm not the only blog slacker, although at least you were coherent enough to post reasons. Mine would be:

1. Huh?

Lena said...

Lasik! So jealous.

You deserve the time off. No guilt. Unless you're not reading my blog, then GUILT. ;p

Psst - we're going out soon. You just don't know it yet.

Nikki said...

I approve of George Bush. I think he's the man.

..don't hate me because I'm republican.

kisses.

rubyiscoming said...

Your #1 slayed me :)
I watched the State of the Union and then asked my staff about it - one of them, no matter what, supports W......so very very strange.

Anonymous said...

Hope you are back to regularly posting soon. My day isn't complete without some of your adventures!

Shelley said...

Wha huh? Lasik? When?

Call me and let's set up lunch. That is if you can see to dial. :)

You could have stopped with #10 and that would be reason enough. But #1? Yeah, that can certainly keep a gal up nights.

Oh, Nikki. I weep for you.

As a non-American, I'd love to meet the 23% as well. I still havent met a single one.
