Is there some biological reason that boy children cannot keep track of their things???

Shell - Take your pick!

Um, it's just a kid thing in general.

If so, then my child must be related to your kids in some way.

I used to have this problem, but since my wife loses way more things than I do, I've had to become extra careful.

Oh no... this is what I have to look forward to for the rest of my life? Not just my husband requiring my assistance to find every little thing, but also both of my boy children? I guess technically my husband is a boy child, just not mine... so why doesn't his mom come over and find all his shit then?

Sorry...

Jill - Seriously, they cannot move milk to find the juice, they cannot look under the bed for a matching flip flop and they sure as heck cannot bring all their gear home from the beach!

There is but only ONE thing a boy will never lose.

I don't have to tell you what that is. ;)

Yes. We use our childhood as the training ground for when we grow up and can't keep track of our things.

They're not scatterbrained; they're just focused intensely on other things. And that focus will serve them well someday.

At least that's what I keep telling myself so I don't make myself crazy.
