I Want A Job

Would anyone like to give me one?

Here is a list of my strengths:

Well Educated (full of worthless information of the Art History kind)

Tidy (maybe a wee bit OCD, but still, tidy.)

Lots of good shoes

Here are my weaknesses:

No work experience

Available only between carpool hours

Not good with money

All ideas are welcome and, in the meantime, I'll be busy looking up at the sky, waiting for something to fall into my lap.

are you left handed? if so, you could possibly be a reliever for several major league baseball teams

You could be an ebay seller? Go shopping and find good deals and re~sell your finds on eBay? I always thought that would be fun anyway...

Jenn - not only did you tell me, but it's a brilliant idea... why have we not started??!!

FB - Damn! Not left handed either... I guess that would go in the "weaknesses" column.

Amy - I met a woman in the airport who told me that she made $1,400 dollars last month selling crap from around her house on eBay... the problem is, if I part with my crap, that will leave me with nothing. ;-)

How do you feel about QVC host? I think that looks like the best job in the world!

Kristin said...

Anon - I agree! Those hostesses are mesmerizing!

Can you work at a museum? Do you like practical art stuff (i.e., teaching art) or is your art history background more book learnin stuff?

Maybe you should be a shopper? I've always thought it would be fun to do that for maybe one celebrity. Maybe one with NO fashion sense. I'd have a blast spending their money.

I got nothing for ya girl. I too sit and wish I could have a 20 hour a week job doing something FANTASTIC and get paid well and have full beni's! Ever hopeful!

DGM - Book Learnin' - I am an academic geek

Nicki - By "Liquid Lunch" I am hoping you mean "martini" and not "Lindora protein shake"!

Jocelyn - VP (less work!)

Phoenix- I could buy underwear for all of "Young Hollywood"

Kayce - At least I'm not alone!

This job word that you speak of..what is that? (hee hee)

Do you really want one?? I hear it's pretty overrated. Less time for blogging, shopping, relaxing, drinking, and sleeping.

Personal shopper? stripper?

Mail Carrier - get to wear shorts to work everyday, listen to your ipod while you walk around the the OC and carry a non designer bag, but you can add your own designs to it.. make it hip

If you were local to me, I'd love to have you work in my office part-time. Remember, my office is in my house, so you'd basically have a laptop at the kitchen table. Alas, you are three time zones away.

You should be a personal shopper. That seems like it would be a cool job.

Kristin said...

Jen - See! Working in your kitchen sounds perfect - I could read blogs aloud to you and keep the coffee fresh... I could be your housewife!

Kristie - Mail Carrier is out as I don't really do shorts... out of kindness to small children and puppies.

LindaJ - I know. But, with the 3 kids all in school next year full time, I am afraid of going nuts.

Pend & Tuesday - Isn't there some International, mulit-state blogging for pay job we can do? ;-)

Aaaaaw, Kristin, we could work together!

Maybe I'll just blog more...

I'd suggest walking into a law office with absolutely no practical knowledge of the field of law for which you interview...worked for me.

Glinda - it's because you're magical! ;-)
