No fun.
No games.
My Jack - a child who spent both Saturday and Sunday night in the ER.
Thanks to...
The croup.
That motherf*cker.
Uncontrollable Spasmodic Coughing with it's stepbrothers - Shortness of Breath & Sore Throat.
Under Cosmic Law as chid cannot fall ill at noon on a Tuesday.
Breathing treatments are only ever necessary after midnight over 3 day weekends.
I might be tired.

Sorry...having a sick child is no fun. Hope you get some rest. (although the vacation you just had should have left you well rested....I'm not resentful or anything)
Oh, poor Jack! Hope he feels better soon.
Charlotte is right there with him. She's a miserable, croupy little gob too and has pretty much taken over my bedroom.
Hang in there.
Poor guy! Croup is so miserable. I hope he feels better soon and that both of you get some rest.
Poor guy! Hope he feels better soon. I'm taking my big guy into the doctor this afternoon for what I think is an ear infection. What's with these kids?!?!
Croup stinks - we had a bought of it while traveling on 4th of July last year - no fun trying to find a place for treatment. Hope is feels better soon.
Crap, so sorry!!!
Wow, look at Jack's eyelashes! I hope he feels better soon, croup is no fun.
Marisa
He's sleeping which is good because we didn't get back from the hospital until 3 am... thanks for the well wishes, all... he'll like reading them!
I hope Jack starts feeling better REALLY soon! It's no fun being sick (and even worse when all the other kids are off school on Monday as well)!
Poor Jack, indeed! I hope you both get some much needed rest today.
oh yuck! Hope he's better soon!
Oh no! Hope you all are resting and getting better!
Ooh... poor boy, poor you, poor everyone. :-(
I hope you get some rest tonight.
Hugs!
OH noooo... I hope he is feeling better soon. What a rotten way for all of you to spend the weekend! I have to agree with Marisa -- those eyelashes are something else!
That does indeed suck! What a beautiful sleeping kid. Looks at peace now anyways.
AND there is nothing better than spending all night in the ER over a 3-day-weekend because it's always completely empty in there and you get RIGHT in. NOT! I really hope that Jack is feeling better. Poor kid. And I hope you all got a awesome nap.
Moments ago the big one just fell to the stomach flu. So it's official - our home is a biohazard zone.
But hey, on the bright side, Char and I are IN for the 1st. It's going to be great fun.
Call me when you can.

Ooo...the breathing treaments suck...we are familiar with those...so sorry...
Oh, sorry to hear about your poor Jack. I am glad he is on the mend.
How is he doing? My son was down with croup all last week.
Susu
At least he appears to be sleeping peacefully. Hopefully it's easing by now. I know this is no fun for either of you.
Isn't that always how it works? They tend to get sick when there is a holiday. Thank goodness I trained my boys to only get sick between the hours of 8-5pm M-F!!!
Hope they feel better!!!
Oh, god. I really feel for you. Julia got croup last fall and she wound up in the ER. It's SO SCARY. I hope he's feeling better soon.
Ack! I remember having croup. My mother was horrified of course, but I told her it wasn't so bad, it felt just like hiccups. I was 4. Hopefully Jack felt equally unalarmed.
And how did you manage a Mamarazzi post while all this was going on? Kudos!
Poor baby, hope he feels much better soon. My daughter had croup this winter to - very scary stuff!
That totally sucks. Glad to hear he's catching up on his Z's... hopefully mama is catching up on hers too.. of course I'm sure she's not....
hope you get well quickly Jack.. Guitar Hero needs you
Poor kid, I hope he's feeling better soon.
Nope, ER visits happen at midnight as well as vomit. Always at night.
Kristin - I hope Jack feels better! And, I hope you get some much needed sleep!
Yikes!
THE CROUP - I hope he feels better soon and the whole family gets some rest. I feel bad for your little man - so.not.fun.
xo
Oh no! I hope he is feeling better soon. Croup can be very frightening. And I agree....why do these illnesses always surface at night or weekends? What is up with that?
Poor babe - the croup? Egads - hope he is now feeling up to snuff. And that you are all sleeping
