Date Night

Do you have one? If so, how often?

Inquiring minds I want to know...

Mmm, not so much. We got out randomly throughout the year -- concerts and shows.

Instead, we go out for lunch since the girls are at school and we're perkier and less tired earlier in the day. We do that at least once a month.

Not often enough. Maybe once every 6-8 weeks.

We have a sitter lined up for one night a month. It is great to have it set in advance because then we actually GO.

I will admit that a few times this year my husband couldn't make it to date night due to work, so I've gone by myself. Why not? The sitter was READY.

about every other month...not enough...

That depends. If it includes children, every day. If it's just the 2 of us, I'd say ...oh ...um ...once a year. At Christmas time. For "special shopping" night. ;)

Sad, huh?

If my parents would hurry up and get back here for the season--once a week! We are very lucky when they are in town--the best part is they keep the kids overnight. When they aren't in town--once a month. I feel like it really helps our marriage.

Date Night is once a month for us. We usually go out to dinner and catch a movie. It's hard to find someone who wants to watch an eleven year old and two twenty month olds, especially since Sydney cries whenever I walk out of the room - the girl is like my shadow.... I'd like to do date night every two weeks, something to look forward to.

How about you? When are your date nights?

Does camping count?

Because we put the kids to bed and sit around the fire getting drunk . . .

We try for once a month, but don't always succeed.

We do, but not on any regular basis. That's probably not very helpful to you at all, is it... :-)

We try to have a date night 1x a month, but we don't have a formal one set up.

I'm glad to see Hugh and I are in good company; We'll date when the kids can drive.

M and I try to every couple of weekends, but I'm not sure you'd call it a date...last one was out to dinner then wonder around Targhet for a few hours. UMMM Fun!

We do not have a regular sitter, so the answer is no.

We had started to try to go once a month, but that lasted for about one month!

It is a matter of the all mighty dollar and not being able to find a sitter we feel comfortable with.

I know you don't want my single opinion on this, correct? ;)

Phoenix, I'll take any feedback!

We used to have a date night 2x a month, and then we fell out of the habit. We socialize but mainly by either having people to dinner or going out with other couples.

That previous post was me, eastcoastermomma, by the way. Blogger won't let me sign in.

we are part of the "date at lunch" crew. can't find a babysitter willing to stay with our lovely crew..... we seem to end up with everyone else's kids so they can have date night, imagine that?

Yes. Wednesday nights are date nights for Nick & I. The kids are at their dad's that night. We've had to run errands for Pop the last couple of Wednesdays, but we'll be back on track here soon.

We try to get a once a week date in. But then again, we have one child so sitter fees are like $6 an hour.

We may have to curtail tho. All of those nights out. (Dinner, dessert, drinks, sitter and whatnot adds up and we've got some big ticket expenses on the horizon.)

My husband and I don't have any children but we still need our "couple time". Money is ALWAYS an issue, I don't care how much you make, but we find inexpensive/free things to do. Our latest idea is to take picture (not nude) of our favorite parts of each other,ie lips, back dimples ect, and print them from winkflash and put them in our room. I wish all couples could do date night :)
