Confession

Have you noticed my plumeria flower photo? In the "about me" section? Want to know why?

When I was 5, I used to tell everyone that was my name.

Wow what a name to pick. I always wanted to be Kelly (like on Charlie's Angels). Maybe I'll dig up an old picture of Jacquline Smith as my profile picture.

I wanted to be "Batman", so I guess a flower isn't all that unusual.

I love this kind of stuff! When I was little I used to pretend I was "Ramona" from the Beverly Cleary series and I wouldn't answer my mother unless she called me, "Ramona".

Funny!

When my mother-in-law was recently showing off her new plumerias to my 2.5 year-old niece Lauren and saying the name really slow so Lauren could repeat it, what she got back was "plu-aunt-mar-mia!" I nearly died laughing when she told us about it.

Wow. I've never even heard of a "plumeria" before! I must be dumb. Either that or I lived under a rock my entire life...

It's a beautiful flower though!

I hadn't noticed your flower (still waiting to see that full face picture, y'know...see if you're a hottie and all that) but I can honestly say I've never wanted to change my name to Plumeria.

I don't know what I wanted to change my name to. I've sort of just always wanted a killer nickname that everybody would call me like Viper or something. Y'know, cuz I'm a bad mamma jamma.

Kids are funny! I used to pretend my bicycle was a horse and so did my little friends. We rode our bikes all through the neighborhood calling them by name.

That is so cute! We could call you "plum-ee" for short. Or plum.

I've been telling two of my male employees that I am naming my baby after my favorite flower (hydrangea). I've got them believing me, it cracks me up!

Funny- How did a five year old even know that name??? Maybe you were a horticulturist savant (sp)??? I was wonder about the new flower thingy.

hey Plumie

Of course you would have that as your wannabe name - you precoucious child of the islands....

My wannabe was Sandi (with an i) modelled on Danny and .....

But no.... you had to be named after an exotic flora...

One of the posts asked how you even knew what that was as a kid... how little they know you!
